Strategic Plan Goal I
Set the public policy tone through proactive engagement to influence public policy and political influence.
STANCO must continually refine its messages and employ ingenuity in order to effectively and positively participate in the development of affordable housing. Through the use of credible data, research instruments and other information, STANCO will be viewed as a valuable resource regarding affordable housing issues. STANCO must be prepared to provide workable solutions to housing problems and to rapidly and effectively adapt to regulations or legislation that impact affordable housing production.
Goal 1
STANCO must develop and continually refine the ability of the organization to promote practical solutions to affordable housing needs and effectively manage change related to regulatory impacts and financial challenges.
Goal 2
STANCO will participate in industry organizations and utilize industry resources and information to support local public policy efforts.
Goal 3
STANCO will identify credible sources of information for use in augmenting local efforts. STANCO shall seek, if available, sources of grant funding for strengthening community education efforts to promote the benefits of affordable housing.
